In this tutorial, I'm going to explain how to enable / disable Windows 10 built-in spell check & auto correct functions.
There are two methods.
Method 1 - Alter the Spell Check feature in the Settings app
1. Open the Settings app and click Devices
2. Open Typing and change the Auto-correct misspelled words setting to either On or Off.
3. Change the Highlight misspelled words setting to either On or Off.
Method 2 - Alter the Spell Check feature in the Registry
Open Run and execute Regedit
Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER \SOFTWARE \Microsoft \TabletTip \1.7.
Change the value of the EnableAutocorrection DWORD. Use 0 to turn it off or 1 to turn it on.
Change the value of the EnableSpellchecking DWORD. Use 0 to turn it off or 1 to turn it on.
Settings will be applied after restarting the computer.
